How I wash my make up brushes

There are lots of fancy and expensive products you can buy to wash your make up brushes but I received a good tip off a sales assistant on the MAC counter once-use Johnson's baby shampoo! She was spot on because this stuff does the job perfectly. You can get a 500ml bottle (which should last you for ages) from Boots for £3.35- bargain! I tend to fill the sink with warm water add some shampoo then throw my brushes in and give them a good scrub. You may have to empty the sink and replace the water a few times if your brushes have quite a lot of make up on them. Then simply rinse them off, squeeze the excess water from the bristles and leave them to dry overnight. This gives you sparkly clean brushes!

Tip-aim to wash your brushes atleast once a week (maybe more if you wear a lot of make up) to avoid bacteria building up. You don't want a break out caused by old make up festering on your brushes.....yuk!
