Face Base

After washing my face first thing I'll do is apply moisturiser. Next I'll use:

MUA pro-base primer (£4.00) to even out my complexion and make my make up stay on all day. I usually let it all 'set in' for a minute or so.

Seventeen flawless poreless primer (£5.99) is a good all over face primer too but I tend to apply this just around the eye area.

No7 beautiful skin BB cream (£13.50)-I'll use this for everyday make up or if I'm going to work because its nice and light on my face but also gives a slight coverage to even out my complexion even more. I use the medium colour one.

Revlon colorstay foundation (£12.49)-if I want a heavier coverage then I'll use this. I've been using this for a couple of months now and I find it really good, it's gives my skin a lovely matte look. The colour I use is 'early tan'.

Seventeen miracle matte pressed powder (£3.99)-sometimes I'll use this as well to fix it all in place. I don't apply too much of this in fear of my make up looking 'caked on'. The colour I use is 'silky beige'.

Seventeen phwoarr paint (£5.49)-this is a heavy duty under eye concealer. This is one of the best concealers i've come across considering the price, its an absolute bargain! I suffer with dark circles and using just a small amount really helped conceal them. I use use 'Fair' and would definitely recommend it.

The base of my make is then complete, ready for blusher and mascara. I should mention that in order for these products to work best it's essential to cleanse and exfoliate your skin. It needs to be clean and rid of any dead skin cells, oil, etc otherwise you'll find your make up wont 'stick' as well and wear off really easily during the day. I cleanse every morning and night and exfoliate twice a week. I like to use Elemis skin glow exfoliating face wash (£9.99) I always notice the difference it makes to my skin, it leaves it feeling softer and more radiant.

All prices listed were obtained from MUA, Boots and Superdrug websites.
